DRESSED. This 1995 play-line/collector Charice doll was part of the Candi doll line acquired by Integrity Toys that was eventually developed into the Janay & Friends play line of fashion dolls. Janay & Friends expanded to include best friends Alysa and Jade, boyfriends Jordan, Tariq, and Keith, and a twin sister named Nakia. The Charice face sculpt was the precursor to Alysa.
This Charice is on her original body similar to a Mattel twist-waist Barbie body with similar articulation and slightly larger bust and ankles. Her floor-length straight brown hair with pink accent streaks is styled in a high ponytail with some front twists. She is wearing metal post pearl drop earrings, a long-sleeve black nylon wrap dress with white buttons decorating an asymmetric snap-front opening, black pantyhose, and black high heel pumps.

DRESSED. This Chelsea has a head of lovely hip-length straight auburn hair with blonde streaks. Hair is soft and in very good condition. She’s been rebodied on a belly-button body with click-bend knees and a pink and silver flower tattoo above her left ankle. She comes with the following:
- Earrings – Removable silver-tone loop-hoops.
- Hair clip – Purple sparkle claw-type.
- Long-sleeve faux layered shirt – Genuine Mattel Fashion Fever Gillian 2005/H0922 shirt (back when Mattel was producing clothing worthy of mention). Features a lavender/peach paisley-floral satin print with set-on cuffs, faux neck tie bow, and coordinating woven-look short-sleeve attached overshirt. Garment has front snap closures.
- Denim A-line skirt – Has back Velcro-type closure.
- My Scene “foot shoes” – Genuine Mattel My Scene footwear was designed to mimic Bratz removable oversize shoe-feet (because back then there was a huge rivalry between Mattel and MGA over the Bratz doll line, complete with counter lawsuits). She comes on a Poppy Parker body* with removable hands and is shown here wearing a brown tulle ruffle skirt with patent vinyl trim and hidden shimmer sparkles, matched with a simple cream cropped sleeveless rib-knit turtleneck top. Slip-on dark brown leatherette toe-strap heels with bead adornment are from Joe Tai, and have molded high heel soles. Shoes will come packaged in a pink and white Joe Tai brand lift-top retail shoe box. Skirt is designed to fit slender dolls and snaps in back. Top has Velcro-type back fastener. This super-cute doll has been rebodied on a fairly close color-matched high-end “super model” clone/replacement body (face is a little darker) with proportions similar to Mizi or modern Fashion Royalty – specifically Meteor dolls. Taller than regular Barbie with slightly larger high-heel feet, this doll has a longer torso, larger bust, and larger “booty” but can wear the majority of clothing and shoes designed for standard belly-button Barbie dolls, although fit may be tight depending on specific design.

- OVERSHIRT JACKET – From a My Scene doll, the sturdy black chiffon-like texture material has subtle white pinstripes, satin-taffeta black lapels, and a satin-taffeta ruffle-trimmed hemline with longer shirt tails that can be tied in front. (Long sleeves are three-quarter length on taller dolls.)
- TEE SHIRT – The cropped white stretch short-sleeve tee-shirt gives a snug fit with back Velcro-type closure.

- SHOES – Mimi Woo brand front-tongue lace-up red faux suede short boots with white faux fur cuffs and hard rubber-like black chunk high heel soles will fit a variety of dolls. (Recommend slightly loosening – not fully unlacing – the top-to-middle laces to put on or remove boots. A small screw driver or bent needle nose pliers or bent tweezers or a toothpick can be used to loosen the individual lacings.)
- BAG – R&D Susie brand loop-handle oversize round zipper travel bag is constructed of black vinyl with red stencil pictures – stylized Susie portrait on one side, and stylized fashion-figure silhouettes on the other side.
