My Scene

My Scene dolls (produced 2002-2011 in conjunction with various cartoon web and TV shows), featured larger head than typical Barbie fashion dolls (in direct competition with MGA Bratz dolls) and usually came on a standard belly-button body. Mattel announced My Scene reissue in 2024.

  • Barbie: My Scene “Fashion Teens on the City Scene” /2002 B2230 – (Nude, Rebodied Cali Girl)

    $3.99

NUDE. This My Scene Barbie’s wavy blonde hair is in pretty good shape, could use some softening conditioner. She’s been rebodied on a Cali Girl belly-button body with large sculpted flat feet, click-bend knees, and a pink and blue butterfly belly tattoo. Wears removable black dangle ball earrings that fit the factory ear holes. (NOTES: 1) Doll has barely noticeable small dent near nose under right eye. 2) Doll identification details may not be 100% accurate, based on available information online.)

    $13.99

DRESSED. This Chelsea has a head of lovely hip-length straight auburn hair with blonde streaks. Hair is soft and in very good condition. She’s been rebodied on a belly-button body with click-bend knees and a pink and silver flower tattoo above her left ankle. She comes with the following:

    1. Earrings – Removable silver-tone loop-hoops.
    2. Hair clip – Purple sparkle claw-type.
    3. Long-sleeve faux layered shirt – Genuine Mattel Fashion Fever Gillian 2005/H0922 shirt (back when Mattel was producing clothing worthy of mention). Features a lavender/peach paisley-floral satin print with set-on cuffs, faux neck tie bow, and coordinating woven-look short-sleeve attached overshirt. Garment has front snap closures.
    4. Denim A-line skirt – Has back Velcro-type closure.
    5. My Scene “foot shoes” – Genuine Mattel My Scene footwear was designed to mimic Bratz removable oversize shoe-feet (because back then there was a huge rivalry between Mattel and MGA over the Bratz doll line, complete with counter lawsuits). These shoes pop on and off (and are a bit stubborn to put on the soft vinyl legs of the belly-button body)

(NOTE: Doll identification details may not be 100% accurate, based on available information online.) This doll has a few faint marks at random places on the legs. The most noticeable is a tiny dark mark on the front leg next to tattoo.

Instead, dip/swish hair in hot (near-boiling) water with a dissolved dime-size dab of any brand hair conditioner. Wet-comb with a large-tooth comb until comb easily moves through hair.
