This Fresh Dolls stretchy bright red dress has a boatneck set-on collar, bell sleeves with raw edges, and a back Velcro-type closure. With a relaxed fit on our articulated belly-button clone model, this fashion should fit a variety of dolls, perhaps even curvy, as many Fresh Dolls fashions can fit curvy. Unfortunately, the idiots in package design decided it was a good idea to use plastic tabs to secure the dress to its cardboard backing, so there are some barely noticeable holes in the sleeves and elsewhere. However, this is still a lovely dress for photos and display.

This genuine Mattel plaid dress is from the 1998 “Pretty in Plaid” series featuring TNT dolls with high ponytails in different hair colors wearing stretchy plaid halter dresses in coordinating colors. This particular dress in pink and orange plaid originally came on a brunette Barbie and, although made for the twist-n-turn body style, will fit other dolls very well. Shown here on an Integrity Dynamite Girls doll with slender hips and bust.
NOTE: This dress is 17 years old, used, and not in perfect shape. Specifically, the vinyl collar trim has deteriorated and has begun flaking off. To prevent further flaking, the vinyl area has been coated with gel-base superglue, resulting in the collar trim hardening while still retaining enough flexibility to allow dolls to wear the dress. There is no guarantee that the vinyl collar trim will not continue to deteriorate over time with continued use, but if a doll is dressed and left wearing this garment without further manipulation, it’s possible this dress will retain what’s left of the orange vinyl coating at the top of the collar. For this reason, the dress is offered at a reduced price.

DRESS & ACCESSORIES: This constructed knit dress is from Randall Craig, legacy designer of upscale doll couture. Garment is constructed of soft knit material in rich cornflower blue, complimentary to many doll complexions, especially tanned. The dress is meant to fit snug but not too tight, and has a lot of potential stretch to fit many different body shapes, but best fits dolls with larger chest and wide shoulders. The cobalt blue beaded jewelry set, gold leatherette box purse, and cobalt/gold brocade high-heel boots complete the ensemble. This is a great fashion set to ramp up your doll wardrobe with a casually elegant option. Dress slips on over feet/hips and has a top back snap closure.

NOTE 1: Earrings will not fit dolls with large ear holes like Barbie that comes with factory-inserted large-post plastic earrings. It may be possible to add a silicone spacer or small bit of tissue to the base of the earring post to snug up earring fit for dolls with large ear holes. If your doll does not have ear holes, you can use a plastic pushpin to create ear holes – make sure they are symmetrically spaced to match position on both sides of doll head. Fashion Royalty dolls often have indents to signify where ear holes should be made. If an ear hole becomes stretched, apply heat to the head to shrink it. Use a heating pad or dip doll head covered with plastic bag into boiled water for a minute or so – avoid prolonged high heat so as not to damage hair style or applied lashes.
NOTE 2: Boot zippers can be somewhat “fiddly” – best way to avoid damage while opening and closing is to use curved needle nose pliers to grip the zipper slider on front/back or side/side and gently push/pull and avoid getting material caught in slider while opening or closing. A skewer may also work to push down the zipper slider from the top while gripping top edge of boot – however we have not tested this method.
