REDRESSED. EXCELLENT CONDITION. Stunning Adele Makeda on original tall Fashion Royalty body has amazing lustrous gold hair. Original blunt-cut bangs have been moderately trimmed/feathered to better show her beautiful eyes. She come with the eye-catching outfit shown, that includes:

  • DRESS – Three-quarter-length ruffle sleeves and a boat neckline give this simple nylon-blend bright red dress extra visual oomph. Made by Fresh Dolls, this soft and stretchy garment is roomy enough to fit a variety of dolls including curvy Barbie, but will also fit slender dolls without looking baggy, due to the way the fabric flows. Dress has Velcro-type back closure.
  • SHOES – These bright red patent leatherette over-the-knee high-heel boots have white back zippers and fit like a glove to make a fashion statement.
  • JEWELRY – The simple design of this long necklace allows it to be worn tied in front or left to drape loose for different looks as fashion dictates. With translucent beads strung on a stretch string, this necklace is easy to put on and quite versatile.

This impressive doll is a great starter for collectors new to Fashion Royalty or those looking for FR legacy fan favorites, and the clothing items included can be used with a variety of other dolls.

Description

*NOTE 1: Doll vinyl will often become more brittle and delicate with age, as chemical softeners added to the vinyl in the manufacturing process will diminish over time. Fashion Royalty dolls are made of a harder vinyl than most play line dolls, so stress points (neck and other joint locations) on their bodies will tend to become more delicate. Please use care when posing/redressing/storing older dolls, as joints – especially the neck – can become stiff and brittle and more susceptible to breakage. If a head on an older FR doll will not turn or tilt with minimal pressure, DO NOT FORCE, as this could cause breakage.

*NOTE 2: Dolls with this FR tall “wasp-waist” body style typically have somewhat floppy hips and weak knees that take some patience to pose without using a stand or chair. Doll cannot nor is she designed to stand alone.

*NOTE 3: Dress has a couple small holes in sleeve and elsewhere due to plastic tags or threads used to fasten garment to retail packaging. However, the dress still displays well as shown.

*NOTE 4: Shoes made of pleather/leatherette/vinyl can be very delicate – use common sense and a modicum of care when handling. While these boots appear sturdy and in great shape, the zippers are extremely fiddly to zip own when starting at the top or when zipping up/down near the ankle area, due to the custom contour fit. It is strongly recommended that a pair of needle nose pliers be used to grip the zipper slide when unzipping from the very top, after which the zipper pull may be used until the ankle area is reached. At the ankle when resistence is felt, use the pliers to grip the slide firmly to zip or unzip while the doll foot is firmly seated inside the boot. Do not grab or pull by the boot heel with force, as this could break the seal of glue used to adhere the upper portion to the sole. If a mishap occurs, it is easy enough to glue back again using UHU, B6000, or E6000, taking care not to spread glue on the vinyl surface that shows. Superglue does not seem to hold fabric as well, but it could also be tried – again being careful with application technique. Hold upper to sole until glue tacky-sets and shoe seems fairly solid.
