Joe Tai: Ingrid/Brigette Long Wavy Golden Brown Wig /~2008 – (Nude)
$79.99
NUDE, RARE. Limited edition articulated collector wigged doll “Brigette” from the “Ingrid” line designed by Joe Tai. These dolls are made of a somewhat heavier vinyl than play line dolls, similar to early edition Mattel Silkstone. Most have intricate hairstyles and very refined makeup/face-paint. While this doll can wear many of the same clothing items as Barbie or Fashion Royalty, the feet are significantly larger, similar in size to Jakks Pacific Paradise/GIRL Force dolls, and therefore cannot wear shoes designed for most other traditional fashion dolls. This doll has a solid vinyl scalp painted medium auburn, and is sold with the wig shown – long wavy golden brown hair fiber styled with a center part. This doll also comes with jade ball dangle earrings as shown, which complement her stunning pale green eyes. See additional *NOTES* below for more information.

Description
*NOTE 1: Joe Tai was a talented fashion and doll designer first based in Taiwan, who designed intricate clothing ensembles and high-end shoes for his dolls. His creations were prized by collectors. Unfortunately he passed away in November, 2010, which brought an end to the doll and fashion line he created.
*NOTE 2: To keep “troublesome” wigs in place, put a strip of double-sided tape (or a loop with regular “Magic” tape) on the doll’s head and position wig, then press down so wig cap adheres to tape. Tape is easily removed without damaging the doll if not left on for years and years. A lot of wigs do not have a full wig cap, or have very small wig caps, and tape helps to keep these types of wigs correctly positioned on the doll.
*NOTE 3: Earrings included with this doll have metal posts. As with any vinyl doll, do not leave metal accessories, especially metal-post earrings, on doll for extended length of time either on display or in storage without checking periodically for green ear – which may likely happen in high-humidity/heat conditions.
*NOTE 4: Some earlier Joe Tai dolls have “ratchet” joints that move in predetermined increments, while other articulated dolls have smooth movement. The “ratchet” joints were presumably an early design feature to ensure the doll held poses without the joints eventually loosening up.
