Joe Tai: Ingrid Brunette Curly Updo /~2008 JT-073G – (Dressed: Raspberry-Silver Gown & Accessories & Stand)
$89.99
DRESSED, RARE. Limited edition articulated collector doll “Ingrid” designed by Joe Tai, with elegant makeup and intricate golden blonde curly updo, comes with the following clothing and accessories:
- Saddle-type display stand. Non-telescoping metal rod with clear acrylic seat supports doll at crotch area. Rod slips securely into generic round acrylic stand base.
- One-of-a-kind hand-knit gown. This stretchy strapless form-fitting raspberry-black-silver metallic floor-length gown enhances any doll silhouette. Photos do not do this gown justice – it is quite stunning in person. Slips on.
- Color-coordinated boa. This one-of-a-kind hand-knit boa is constructed of glittery metallic-infused “eyelash” yarn in charcoal black, and coordinates beautifully with the raspberry-black-silver variegated gown.
- Black flex-vinyl strappy high heels. These flexible but sturdy left-right high heels are made for Jakks Pacific Girl Force dolls but fit Joe Tai dolls perfectly, and are a nice solution for these special-fit feet.
- Black-garnet-gold jewelry set. This jewelry set consists of a necklace made of small gold-backed square red/black gems arranged in a double layer that descends in the middle and tapers off at outer edges. Necklace latches in back with a wire hook. Also included is a set of drop-string square gem earrings on thin wire posts. (This jewelry set is delicate so handle with care.)
- Certificate of Authenticity. A COA is included, signed by hair and makeup artists as well as designer Joe Tai.

Description
*NOTE 1: Joe Tai was a talented fashion and doll designer first based in Taiwan, who designed intricate clothing ensembles and high-end shoes for his dolls. His creations were prized by collectors. Unfortunately he passed away in November, 2010, which brought an end to the doll and fashion line he created.
*NOTE 2: Earrings included with this doll have metal posts. As with any vinyl doll, do not leave metal accessories, especially metal-post earrings, on doll for extended length of time either on display or in storage without checking periodically for green ear – which may likely happen in high-humidity/heat conditions.
*NOTE 3: Joe Tai dolls are made of a somewhat heavier vinyl than play line dolls, similar to early edition Mattel Silkstone. While this doll can wear many of the same clothing items as Barbie or Fashion Royalty, the feet are significantly larger, similar in size to Jakks Pacific Paradise/GIRL Force dolls, and therefore cannot wear shoes designed for most other traditional fashion dolls.
*NOTE 4: This doll has “ratchet” elbow joints that move in predetermined increments, while other articulated dolls in this line have smooth movement. The “ratchet” joints were presumably an early design feature to ensure the doll held poses without the joints eventually loosening up over time.
